Dennis Helfer as well as Elaine Helfer are the parents of Helfer. Her birthplace was in Alberta, Donalda Canada. The parents of her are Elaine and Dennis Helfer. She went to William E. Hay Composite High School located in Stettler. Three of her sisters Tammy, Tara and Trena resided and worked on their family's farm. In the age of 17 years old, a scout for models at an agency spotted Helfer as she waited at the front of a line for entry into a cinema.
